Privacy Policy

This policy explains what happens to information when you use UpahaarSutra. The short version: everything stays in your browser.

What we collect

UpahaarSutra runs without a backend server. When you create an account, your username, email, and a salted hash of your password are saved in your browser's local storage on your own device (the plaintext password is never stored). The same is true for your wishlist and cart. None of this is transmitted to us or to any third party, because there is no server to transmit it to.

What we do not collect

We do not use analytics services, advertising trackers, or cookies for tracking. We do not know who you are, and we cannot recover your account details if you clear your browser storage.

Contact form

The contact form does not send email in this version. Anything you type into it stays on your device and is not stored or transmitted. To actually reach the builder, use the links on the Contact page.

Your control

You can delete all stored data at any time by logging out and clearing your browser's local storage for this site. Logging out removes the session record; clearing storage removes the account, wishlist, and cart as well.

Changes

If a real backend is added later, this policy will be rewritten to describe exactly what is stored where, before that version goes live. Questions are welcome through the contact page.
